when my parents started decorating their Christmas tree 50 years ago (a week before my birth), these Christmas balls were still new and dark purple, the fashion color at the time. over the years, these baubles always hung in the Christmas tree, although they slowly became less and less in number and they also discolored considerably. when I moved out I was allowed to take the Christmas baubles with me. since then they hang in our tree every year, together with a number of new ones that we purchased ourselves.

the Christmas stuff is now downstairs, but the tree is not decorated yet ... something with an infirmary ...
