Music Hall
On Corn Market in Worcester there are four small statues commemorating well known people associated with the city. This is Vesta Tilley (real name Matilda Alice Powles, born 13th May 1864 in Worcester), a famous Music Hall performer. She was renowned for her male impersonations and singing. She was very successful and toured America during her career.
It was snowing this morning, more sleet than snow that stopped after a couple of hours and soon cleared in the balmy 0-1 degree C. We ventured out after lunch for some present buying, fairly successful, and a coffee at Boleros. It was on the walk home I stopped to look at the statuette.
