All up early to tidy up and pack. Third morning in and Beano was still super excited to see us all as we emerged from the bedrooms one by one.
The weather was absolutely dreadful but we decided to make the most of the day and head to Looe for some breakfast. We had a wander first, taught Paul the word “pang” which he’d somehow survived 33 years without, then found a cafe that could seat 8 and a large dog.
Headed back to Bristol at midday, and other than a slightly hairy encounter with a very rapidly rising stream and subsequent flood on a tiny country lane, it was uneventful. I offered Beano a chin rest for a nap and he instantly fell asleep. Stopped for a drink in a service station and Matt accidentally found out the football score.
Home to do washing and unpack and be sad that we don’t live all the time in a huge house with all our friends.
