La nativite du signeur

Back in the parish church again, this time for a wonderful organ recital of the Messiaen, Birth of our Saviour.
The organist is Jonathan Bielby, director of music, and it was wonderful to watch him working his way through this challenging piece, as there is a new tv screening facility.
The final part of the piece has an incredible sustained chord that vibrates through the whole building, and we had a few final words from Jonathan to complete the concert.
Really well worth going to.
