Sunday morning walk

Up early having stayed up late watching an odd adaptation of Jane Austen’s Emma! Breakfast was muesli and home made bread toast and honey!

Sunday morning means a walk around the fields and this morning was no exception! There had been a sprinkling of snow on frosty ground and the sky was grey but it was good to get out in the fresh air! We walked through the town on the way back and dropped into the Poetry Pharmacy, a book shop with a coffee lounge serving the coffees in flasks! They also have poetry readings and literary events! Just a joy! I managed to buy a couple of presents and some wrapping paper for presents!

After lunch the Christmas tree was brought in to decorate! A real tree and lots of decorations with memories and accompanied by Christmas music of various genres! Cooking of biscuits was accomplished and then we sat down for a cup of tea and the guardian Everyman

Crossword, which we completed . More food was followed by watching the new series of Strike on BBC at 21.00. Private detective series with so any red herrings and some great acting! All in all a very good day!
