This is one of a hundred thousand different views of western Siberia I could have used to illustrate the gloriously unmanaged quality of the Russian countryside, which is the basic reasons why there is so much wildlife about (including corncrakes and birds of prey), totally contrary to the self-serving nonsense put out in Scotland by the RSPB, SNH and others with an axe to grind and a living to earn from creating fear and guilt.
