A warm glow this morning

It snowed last night, not a lot although enough to make the garden look ‘tidy’ ish. John was tracking paw prints earlier, mostly cats however he thought a few looked too big, and with skid marks. Perplexing.

I made the final Christmas cake and look forward to the spicy smell as it cooks, John decided to take the Christmas cards for posting, I read today is the last day for second class, although we need stamps and our post master hasn’t made it through from Salen yet. Perhaps later.

The brave man driving the gritting lorry went off the road, he is fine and understand some of the roads are now covered. It’s not the amount of snow that’s the issue, there is very little, ice, hills and bends in the road cause drivers a problem.

The warm glow of fairy lights is draped across a piece of art work made by a local artist many years ago. It is made of Stainless Steel and treated to look like Calgary beach across which an otter has run leaving foot prints and also a few bird feet marks in the sand. The lighting has to be right to pick up the detail.
