Snow Crouching Brother, Singular Tree

We woke up this morning to a winter wonderland of fresh, crisp snow. We had seen the white stuff beginning to fall last night but did not expect it to accumulate in such proportions - almost five inches. What a fabulous sight!
So of course we had to head out on another early morning walk. We actually took the same route as two days ago but it looked even more spectacular in a completely different way.
The main shot is of my brother crouching down to get his image of the day. This tree stands alone like an arboreal beacon in an expanse of whiteness (sorry might have gone a bit overboard with the flowery language there - that's what a snowy landscape does to you!). Please see his image attached here https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3048917071699117711
My extra is a view of our village in its full wintery camouflage.
