The ponds are still frozen over today but we have had no snow like other parts of the country. The temperature has been hovering around 0C and will be around -4C tonight. It is always a bit alarming, however, how snow and icy conditions seem to paralyse our travel systems with flights and trains cancelled today and disruption on the motorways. When are we going to be able to adapt to the inevitable of the increasingly adverse climate?
