Puddle Ice

A really frosty start to the day here. We walked on the Coastal path which was very quiet. The puddles were all iced over, as were some of the rock pools. Even the seaweed on the shore was frosted.
Maggie and I have had a fun day. We’re in the process of making a Christmas present for her Mum, so we cut flowers from egg cartons and painted them bright colours. While they dried she painted another stone with a Christmas tree this time (Extra).
We’ve played snap and dominoes, danced to Christmas songs, sung along with nursery rhymes and put up the Christmas tree. We decorated the windows with snowflakes, then Maggie chopped up the peppers and mushrooms and helped make our tea.
I braided her hair after her bath and made a better job than usual, I’m relieved to say. Bed and story couldn’t come soon enough because I was starting to feel pretty tired.
