Christmas special…..

……… at a delightful little French restaurant in the Grassmarket , Edinburgh.

We had a challenging journey to meet 2 friends who were travelling from Glasgow. It was minus 7C at 9 am and even getting into the car was difficult as it was frozen solid. After getting to the station I discovered the train wasn’t running due to a signalling problem so then I had to drive part of the way to get the Park and Ride bus into Edinburgh. Freezing fog, windscreen washers frozen up and then an object fell off a lorry and hit the windscreen thankfully not causing any damage.

Finally it was lovely meeting our friends and we had an excellent meal. I don’t often photograph food but my dessert which was the special on the menu was artistic as well as tasty!
