Art Deco Building
The Beresford Building opened in 1938 to provide accommodation for visitors to Glasgow's Empire Exhibition. During the Second World War it was requisitioned and used to billet American and British servicemen. In 1964 it was converted into a student residence for the University of Strathclyde and was later closed in 2004. As of 2008 the building is now divided into 121 private flats. It is a category Blisted building.
