Lithgow Blast Furnace Park
The old blast furnace and remnant buildings are the centrepiece of a park.
It was blown up in the 20s, but fortunately for us it didn't come down.
It was once possible to crawl all over them, but these days it's a heritage listed visitor attraction and with all the signs, walkways and barriers it's tricky to get the perspective you might want when photographing it.
No shortage of arches, though.
There are some wonderful old photos, but I particularly love the one I've added in extras, taken in 1907 at the opening.
