A Christmas robin

Another hard frost this morning, it's so good for blips! This robin perched on the fence before dropping down to feed on the seed that was on the ground. 

There are men working on the road outside my house, they must be freezing although I expect all the digging warms them up.  Myself and other neighbours are keeping them supplied with mugs of tea to keep them going.

I went into Oswestry to get a few Christmas things, go to the library and do some food shopping.  I then called at F's house where gas fitters are putting his central heating in.  He must be itching to do it as he's done everything else in the kitchen alteration but would need to be qualified in order to fit it.  

Hopefully the heating will be finished tomorrow so he'll have a warm house (as long as he can afford to run it with the hike in fuel costs!)  Luckily he has a free standing gas fire in his living room to keep him warm in this cold weather.
