Chestnut

Back Blip - doing a bit of a catch-up of my autumn backlog!

This tree is known locally as the Spanish Chestnut Tree, although people who know about these things say it's actually a Sweet Chestnut Tree. Either way, it's one of Denny's finest landmarks and has been dated to between 300-400 years old.

I'm leading a Ramblers walk around Denny next Wednesday (i.e. as at the time of taking the photo) and it would be remiss of me not to include it in our route,
