‘S no joke
Over thirty years ago, the teenage daughter of our neighbours at the time made this likeness of N as an art project at school and gave him to us when she left school. Last summer he moved from the boring shelf in the living room to a more interesting location at the edge of our pond. In this cold weather, the pond is frozen with a thin coating of snow and he might be suffering from frostbite.
I am really enjoying this beautiful cold weather but thankful that I don’t have to venture far from home, unlike P and A who set off this afternoon, two days early, to travel down to their son and grandchildren in Cheshire. The lovely Lucy is staying with us while they are away rather than undertake a long car journey, which she doesn’t enjoy. She and Bertie have settled down well together.
