Half mast...

When I arrived at the golf club this morning I saw that the flag was at half mast...

I soon found out that Richard, who I often play golf with, died early this morning after a short illness...

The Pro/Am went ahead as Richard would have wanted.

After 7 holes in heavy rain and strong winds all the games were put on hold.
We all walked back into the club house in our soaking wet kit...after 45 mins, and a quick coffee, when the weather seemed much better we all went back to where we were...

Things were fine for about 10mins, then THE HEAVENS OPENED AS THEY NEVER HAVE BEFORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WET does not describe it!!!

However we carried on and eventually the weather did improve...

A change of clothes and a 3 course meal went down a treat!

We left before the results were announced...perhaps we were in the prizes?
