Wood art...

.... in the wall protecting the coast from erosion.

The tide hadn't yet covered up the pebbles as I went out for a quick walk this afternoon and I was able to take a stretch of beach dry enough to walk on. I thought the perpindicular wall of old railway sleepers acting as an erosion barrier looked beautiful in the winter light. They are multi-coloured, washed and bleached by sea and sun and alive with sea creatures. You can see how high the sea water normally reaches by the tide mark along the barrier. In the extras I have put a few close ups of the beautiful and curious features and colours in the wood.
