House Martins have arrived.

The first of our many thousands of house martins arrived today. This one clearly was not very proficient on the ground. Must have been a long journey. We have so many here they could almost be ranked as a nuisance but i bet they keep the flies, midges etc under control. They were all eating grit this afternoon.
I tried to catch one flying but it is not easy and requires a lot of time and patience. Both missing today!
