Homeward bound

Sandra dropped me at Waverley for my 12.05 train.  I bought the papers and enough carbs to see me through to January.  

First World Problem alert:   the first class offering on Cross Country trains is pretty poor compared to the other services.   The seats are good but the catering is poor.   When I last travelled back I went via Crewe and had a full afternoon tea and could have had wine etc (having just come back fi Embra the last thing I needed was mair wine) although I did end up with a little surprise rail replacement coach trip as an added bonus so I guess what you gain on the swings...
