Autumn Bliss
These may look like sticks in the mud, but they are the bare-rooted raspberry canes that arrived in the post a while ago. I have been procrastinating over planting them, but the ground is definitely too cold to plant them out directly. So I finally got my act together this evening and potted them up and put them in the garage for safe keeping until I can get them up to the allotment shed.
Things I have learnt today:
1 - using the kitchen as a potting shed is warmer than using the garage, but involves more cleaning - compost everywhere (tomorrow's job).
2 - a 3 inch coating of snow left for 3 days and then brushed off your car is an excellent way to clean it.
3 - there was a reason I stopped trying to make wholemeal bread in the breadmaker. Must try to remember that in future (see extra).
The other extra was going to be my blip until the raspberries happened, but I had 10 remaining extra slots to use by the end of the year, so added it anyway. :-)
