Early present
Bless him, he has missed his nativity play, class party and school Christmas lunch.
As compensation, the husband took him to the market today to get lunch, except rhey were a little late and the bbq stall was packing up. Plan b was chips from the chip shop and a turkey sandwich from Tesco. The improvised Christmas lunch recieved a good review from the youngest who has asked if it can become a Christmas tradition. I love that idea.
I had my work Christmas do. A bring and share in a meeting room, which worked brilliantly. It was great to have the team together and one of them had put together a Christmas quiz that was very good. Had a bit of a proud moment for them all.
Home, straight out with the dog, husband straight out to his work do, boys at their Beavera Christmas party. Dog walk over the fields in the cold and dark was a perfect blast of fresh air after all day in the office.
Two tired and happy boys collected. The youngest couldn't resist opening the present sent home from his teacher (in case he is still unwell tomorrow, which is highly unlikely!). They were straight to bed and straight to sleep.
