Tranquility
Late afternoon shot over our dam.
We’ve had a couple of very windy days this week and the extra shows a very common occurrence. This particular tree is known locally as an Apple Gum even though it’s not a true Eucalypt (it’s an Angophora) and apart from being weak limbed in storms, they are useless for fencing or for firewood.
Their limbs are never straight and they rot quickly when used for posts or rails. For home heating, they produce little heat and plenty of ash. I suppose they’re not bad to look at.
