Flower Friday

Some of my Editor's birthday flowers from 3 weeks ago are still looking pretty good so I thought I'd give these little chrysanthemums their "moment of fame" on blip for BikerBear's FF challenge this week. I went for a slightly soft focus effect using my old 1970s 50mm Olympus lens - it's an f1.4 lens but I used it at f4 to get a little more depth of field than using it wide open.

The extra is a phone shot of the morning sun filtering through some trees on my morning walk. As you can see a thin layer of snow still covers the ground but it's forecast to get warmer over the weekend so I guess it won't last much longer.
