I hope this has only happened because this is just over from a point where snowmelt and rain naturally drains from the car parks and suchlike above, rather than being the runoff from a deliberate action such as washing a new motor car which could have been done more carefully. Reported to @edinhelp, but they seem to only have a truck with a pile of salt in the back and a few people with shovels to grit bike paths this year. At least two of the other cyclists I passed were making spiky-tyre noises but I hope the rest saw this before they were upon it.
