Christmas tree

We had seven hours without power today - a tree fell on the power lines and then we still had load shedding afterwards! But our battery driven Christmas tree lights looked extra pretty glowing in the dark.
It was a public holiday here today. We went for lunch at a local nursery tea garden, and later in the afternoon we took a bottle of wine, snacks, and of course Coda, to the cliff top and enjoyed a glass of chilled Chardonnay with a beautiful view.  As always we had lots of chats with residents and  Coda had lots of sniffs with other dogs. 
Tomorrow Penni and I will brave the shops....I really don't enjoy shopping at this time of year.
