Oi! That's my cotoneaster!

Thank you for your well-wishes. I certainly feel better for my long sleep, still coughing but temperature gone down :-)

At this time of the year the muntjac can strip the garden bare - anything with leaves, no matter how tough, is eaten. There were two of them nibbling their way around this morning. I let them nibble until I had a good shot and then chased them into the woods.

There was a third, very dead, muntjac at the entrance to our drive when we arrived from London this morning. I guess it had been hit by a car and someone had dragged it off the road.  MrHCB has dragged it from the drive to the hedgerow where the fox patrols.
