Christmas cards

The Christmas cards are arriving bit by bit. Usually by this time the whole wall is covered. Obviously the postal strike has delayed the post but I think some people are choosing to give money to charity rather than pay the ever increasing cost of postage.
Tomorrow our neighbours will be gathering at our house for a pre Christmas lunch. There will be nine of us, and everybody will be bringing finger food. It will be interesting to see what turns up. Today I have made sate chicken, Norman will fiddle about with smoked salmon, and I have some of my mincemeat shortbread as a sweet offering. It is a few years since we entertained but I am sure will have lots of help.
