Water Mains Burst

A huge water mains pipe burst locally in the night and the gushing water flooded the street and went into basement properties. The area serviced by this big pipe was quite vast. I had no kitchen water. It’s finally back on this evening but we have been asked to use it sparingly until they get the pressure back up. What a relief.

I had breakfast in Pret across the road and lunch in the bakery cafe so I could use their loo and have no washing up to worry about.
I feel very sorry for those who have been made homeless from water damage.
