Snowmen

Today was our last day selling Christmas trees at Longshaw, although sales will continue till Christmas Eve. We still did a steady trade, even though the weather was wet and pretty unpleasant. We also has quite a few takers for the kids’ craft workshops. and sold a few more of our range of Christmas decorations, made by one of our volunteers, from wood harvested from the estate. Other attractions today included complimentary mulled wine and mince pies, and also about half a dozen very confiding Robins (one even came into the hut). I explained to visitors that we’d had them specially flown in.
