The River Tynecicle

Got a photo of the frozen Tyne today. We could see - and more importantly - hear that it was frozen when we were on our post-work dark walk the last few nights. The silence was eerie, compared to the usual gurgle and ripple of a big river.

This was the first opportunity to see it in daylight. Starting to melt further up and downriver, and a warmer night tonight.
