A large flock

These gulls were swooping across the sky in great numbers - until I got up to photograph them.  Then they settled onto the rooftop and just did some flittering.  This is the best capture I could get.  Not the exciting shot I was hoping for.

We started the day with thick fog and a patch of light snow, but the time I went out the ground was wet but clear and it felt safe to drive to the pharmacy.  Tomorrow we are expecting snow, which may make it tricky going down for family dinner after dark.  But I'm hopeful we'll all make it safely.
