Woo-woo

This was taken at 3.41 as Dog and I went for a walk.  Coming up to twilight.  I decided we had time to go through the woods before it got really dark.  I also decided to listen to a drama on Radio 4 as I walked, an adaptation of The Willows by Algernon Blackwood, a horror story written in 1907 about two men canoeing on the Danube who happen among a space of shifting sand and water surrounded by malevolent willows.  Half way through my walk i got the complete heebies and had to switch it off

Vikram still in bed with heavy cold.  I did some shopping and wrapping up, realised one delivery had never turned up and that I’d heard nothing since a dramatic text from Evri 10 days ago saying it was delayed due to a road incident so Ivy’s Christmas present is probably in a ditch.

Wrapping whilst watching films for BAFTA voting is an annual thing and today I watched an American Indie film called Cha Cha Smooth.  Which was filmed, produced, directed by a young man of 25.  It didn’t wholly charm me as it was clearly meant to do.

Made us a chicken pasta bake with left overs and Vikram got up for it and an episode of Slow Horses.  I was meant to be at carols in East Meon and dinner with the Bartlett’s - I think first of many missed events with friends this week.
