The Mount Eagle radio and television mast, on the Black Isle. Heard my first Grasshopper Warblers of the year, whilst out on the Blip-hunt cycle this evening. There was one signing just beyond the end of the street, as I was about to head inside.
Good day, apart from issues starting the car this morning. A few minutes of charging the battery soon solved that, and allowed me to go out on a River Ness kayaking trip - first in at least a couple of years. Didn't take any photos on said trip, as half the group of ten including myself, were busy looking after the other half - on their first river trip. Water level was very high, after Friday's heavy rain. Warmish gale force winds melting the snow from the hills, and blowing up Loch Ness, also adding to flow. Good to be out in the little boat, and not be caught out...
Will sleep well tonight!

Car passed the 50,000 mile mark. Not much for a ten year old car. I've had it almost five years, and only put on 17,000 miles of that total. As said before, were it not for the kayaking, I'd get rid of it. With recent insurance and RAC bills, this year it has now cost over a thousand pounds to keep the thing going/legal. One heck of a lot for my little usage of it.
