Socialising!

I'd decided if the weather was OK today I'd go to Kelsey Gardens. Actually the weather was pretty iffy, but I went anyway.

I partly wanted to go because my bird group went last week and I wanted a second look - but also because the Hull Model Boat Club was having a meeting there and I'd seen the yachts in a lock up and thought they looked fantastic!

I saw linnets and whitethroats and herons and swallows and all the usual culprits. I also thought I'd seen an otter and got very excited, but when I got home and blew up the photo, it turned out to be a mink.

I stayed on for the first yacht (pea pod!!) race. But it was so cold and wet I decided to head home.

This evening I had my second social event in 18 months!

It was a lovely evening with fab food .. and the most gorgeous fox hound - Bailey.
