Open Countryside.....

We enjoyed a beautiful winter's walk today. We may not live  in a spectacular part of the world, but do have countryside on our doorstep. 

A 7 mile walk from Trentham Gardens, around the estate via Kings Wood. A mad dash across the A34 (dual carriageway) and then this view across open fields towards the village of Barlaston. We then walked along the Trent and Mersey Canal and back to Trentham gardens via Trentham Golf Course. Again traversing the A34!!

Beautiful crisp sunny winter weather and even hot chocolate at the monument.
