New camera!

Today, I have invested in a new camera - a Nikon D3200 - Please feel free to give your advice/tips on this model or on DSLR's in general, as I've never used one before.
This is just a shot with me messing about with it this evening. I used the auto macro setting (give me time to get used to it before going to manual!) to see how it went. Not too shabby, eh?! It is a 24.2 megapixel camera, so the images are super sharp!

Oh, in case you're wondering, it's the top of a butternut squash!

I think I may have fallen in love already..... :-)
