Family Christmas Party

We have had such a happy weekend.
Last night good food and wine, and laughter with our friends. They came at 5 pm and left at midnight. Champagne and three bottles of wine but fortunately I didn’t have a hangover.

Today we have had a wonderful afternoon with our eldest son and family.
What a delicious meal provided by our daughter-in-law, including her signature dish. A starter of spicy prawn and crab cocktail lettuce cups.
Of course certain people had to watch the World Cup Final.

Home now, but the paths were more treacherous than I can ever remember. Rain falling on the freezing ground made everywhere like a skating rink. Just managed to make it down our steps to the front door without falling.
Can’t believe it is going to be so much warmer tomorrow.
