I did various jobs at home this morning and then ventured out for some air and to slip my way along the black ice and down to the river for a walk to Ousenstand and back. It was bitter and very grey but soon brightened by the long electric blue flash of a kingfisher darting along the length of the river, followed by a heron, lots of fieldfares, and the owl was in his usual spot https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2975533758670701772
