Breakfast Guest

I was pleased to see the owl gliding across the field again this morning, and this time it perched near the house and surveyed the scene. After a bit I went out and managed to get a photo with my phone. She seemed unimpressed and soon flew off into the woods. 

Also watched the incredible World Cup final today. I am firmly in the Messi-is-the-best camp and was glad Argentina won. Of course, my internet went out after the third penalty (!) so I didn't know the result right away. Soccer can be so stressful sometimes! 

The evening was spent baking cookies in preparation for the week ahead.
