Final Approach

This is the pilots view on the approach to Queenstown airport.
No The Boss was NOT in the cockpit but in a bus on the Crown Range heading to Wanaka but there was a plane out there and  it was either the plane or the view and he chose the view in the very short time he had it out the window of the moving bus.
Airline Pilots have to receive special training to handle this airport. You can just see the runway if you look at the beginning of the lake. and it is used in either direction depending on the prevailing wind. Frequent travellers will happily tell you stories of landing here AND also landing somewhere else instead after a couple of abortive tries.....(Ask The B's)
It is however completely safe and its always polite to clap when the wheels hit the ground and stay there after an earlier try.
