I was quite looking forward to my human-led rather than machine-led online training this afternoon but it turned out to be yet another session of 'You can do this and this and this and this and this and this, and this is how', with someone else's cursor whizzing round their shared screen apparently clicking on certain places because what was on the screen then changed. I spent the last half of the 'training' getting on with other things I had to do and just pretending to be present.
But my increasing resentment of the disrespect shown to the skills that trained and practised teachers/trainers have is bubbling into anger.
The one thing they got right was sending a feedback questionnaire afterwards, although I did point out that the question 'Will you be able to put what you have learnt into practice in your job?' assumes that I learnt anything. I gave the lowest possible score on every measure and, much more importantly, said why.
