Native spring flowers

Our sightseeing tour for today was up Mingus Mt in the Prescott National Forest and to our surprise we found several native plants in flower/bloom. We've not seen Manzanita with it's red trunk and branches in bloom before this, (the background) image. Close up and in its native environment along the forest road are images of the Matilija or Romneya Poppy and produce the largest flowers of any members of the poppy family. I know, I can't pronounce Matilija either. Best large.
