Haworth at Christmas

Always a must for me. A few days ago it would have been crisp with white frost and we’ve missed all the special weekend events but that doesn’t matter it is just a special place to be particularly in this season.
We had an excellent lunch at the Fleece, the special poached haddock with crawfish and lemon butter, with mash and seasonal veg. Far too much but delicious.

Warm and wet today after horrendous icy conditions last night. Predictably few people came out to the Carol service at church last night. I walked home with my friends and neighbours and had to walk down the main road to avoid the icy pavements. 

Started the day at our last singing session of the year. A coffee morning with cakes, raffles, name the teddy etc to add to our charity coffers. In between the chat we sang some lovely Christmas songs. Maybe the last of the year though I have heard there may be some carol singing in Bath. Think my voice needs a rest!
