Swindon

Swindon features in Lorna Lloyd's Diary of the war  (previously blipped in full in the LornaL journal, and now available as a podcast series) because it is near here that her brother Theo was on a searchlight course in early 1940. You can read the detail of this in the diary entry for February 17th of that year, and listen to it in Episode 4 of the podcast series of the Diary of the war. Thank you to Livresse for supplying this shot of Swindon for our blipper-sourced album of places mentioned in Lorna's war diary.

We also realise that it is going to be difficult to source shots of some of the locations listed. We will therefore also be happy to receive photographs from blippers to represent these 'tricky' places (see for example our blip of 4th December). Thank you!
