Cake decorating
At H's, the sugar craft queen. Whilst Mr HB and S talked a lot about flying before Mr HB went off for his hearing test, H and I modelled, rolled, boned, cut and stuck sugar paste together to make these charming little cake toppers. H had already done hers so I had models to copy from. I confess I found it all very fiddly, especially as my eyesight is rubbish at the moment. They travelled home safely in a shoe box and once completely dry will adorn my Christmas Cake. This year it was H's turn to chose the design and as she has recently become a Grandma to a little granddaughter I suspect the design was chosen accordingly but I do love them, especially my plump Santa! Once Mr HB returned from his successful hearing test we stayed for a late lunch of H's homemade broccoli and stilton soup, warm rolls and a very tasty lemon cheesecake with blackberry coulis. Don't think we'll need much supper tonight.
Another change in the weather today,: very, very windy and quite warm.
