Another busy and beautiful Saturday for our little family.
This morning while mama worked out, Mitch and Miles ran some errands. Once back at the house, I took Miles on a walk to starbucks and the park...where Miles was very into the rocking horse, slides and tunnel. We came back to have lunch on the deck before nap. When he woke up we had a family water fight on the deck and he rode his bike while we enjoyed the beautiful weather. He also got to help dada mow and edge the yard!
This picture is of Miles and I showing off the Mother's Day project he made at school earlier this week. It's some Marigolds planted in a pot that Miles painted, and it had a sweet little card attached. The card read:
'I miss you when we're not together
I'm growing up so fast
See how big I've gotten
Since you saw me last?
As I grow, I'll change a lot,
The years will fly right by,
You'll wonder how I grew so quick
When and where and why?
So save this card in a safe place,
And take it out each year.
The memories will come back of me,
When I was small and dear'
I'm sure all the mother's (both old and new) reading that little poem are getting a little teary-eyed right now. I sure did.
