Another "thing" Alice never got the use of. 

Several winters ago, Alice not being the most nimble latterly, despite us meeting on the Judo Mat, decided these would be a good idea in frost - then - we never had conditions to merit their use.

I had been invited out to Chez Clicky/Jerra for a meal, a natter and a Carol Service.

If I'm brutally honest - I wasn't too bothered about the Carol Service; I've never, really, sung since, at age ≈9-10, Miss Russell said, in a "Singing Lesson" - - - - "Brian - Don't grunt." 

Be EVER wary of what you say to kids.

However, after I got to the back of the Car I discovered the nature of the terrain, returned and donned the "footwear".  To say the drive was "like glass" might probably be a lie - I think I might have got better traction on glass.

Since they were the very Devil to don (Alice size) I was loath to remove them.  Toward evening I felt my foot was being "thrown" to one side.  NOW I can see why, missing studs. 

However they did their job when needed.  Next Job?  Look in "that Drawer" and see if she actually bought "His & Hers" sizes?

As I'm writing the Tags it comes to mind I have a pair of Crampons - BUT - they need tied on AND I don't think I could drive with 60mm/2" Spikes on my soles?
