but then the cactus said
don't you understand
my skin is covered with
sharp spikes
that'll stab you

it's mother's day
so of course
I want a hug
but I didn't get one

I got a cactus though
covered in sharp spikes
the journey continues
painfully
but it will blossom
eventually
I know

just need to keep on dredging
and letting go
