Natural recharge

As one of my sanctuaries for mental well-being we visited the Wildpark at Poing this afternoon.
We decided to visit today, before the still white snow released itself from the trees and pooled in a grey thaw on the ground. Also we reasoned there would be fewer people there. It was nice to be right for once.
On arrival we were probably only two of eight visitors in the whole 58 hectare park.
Between the occasional overhead drone of aircraft on approach to Munich airport and our careful snow crunching steps, we had the silent and attentive company of fallow deer as we stopped and started between the various enclosures.

Can’t wait to visit this gem again.
